Ed Egan Founder and President, Ocean State Charity Events.  Ed has held senior management positions in the non-profit sector for 32 years. He has been at the forefront with new and innovative strategies to help nonprofits maintain their viability. Ed is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, sits on several non-profit boards, and consults for the RI Heritage Hall of Fame. As a volunteer coach with Special Olympics, he was named “Coach of the Year.” He has traveled to world games in Austria, Toronto, Connecticut, and others.

Board of Directors

Ocean State Charity Events is governed by a volunteer three-member Board of Directors. Their experience, insight, and wisdom provide a value-added dimension to the organization.

Paul DonnellyFounder, One Leg Up.  Himself an amputee, One Leg Up is a non-profit organization aimed at providing children with amputees the necessary care and prosthetics that they could not otherwise afford and to help them live a happier and healthier life!

Ross Hudson – An experienced advertising, marketing and public relations professional, Ross has spent more than 40 years in the business. He was a partner in the firm of Keegan, Hudson & Shansky, Executive Vice President at Hurley, Chandler & Chaffer, and is the owner and President of HCC/Hudson. He has provided marketing and copy support services to a diverse clientele with special emphasis on the business-to-business and financial sectors. He is a frequent contributor of local magazine articles and man about town columns and has published two books.

Mission Based Fundraising – Our guiding philosophy is simple, yet the most important! When a donor supports your cause because they know and understand the value of your Mission, they are more likely to become a long term donor. That’s how you build a base of sustaining revenue


Charitably Inclined Resources – When it comes to selecting memorabilia and other items for events, we work only with those companies who are charity based. That means that their sole orientation is understanding and assisting charities and their requirements


Demanding Criteria in Choice of Suppliers – We have strict requirements when it comes to our providers. Besides being charitably inclined they offer excellent choice, service and response. They can customize and will enthusiastically search out that atypical request. They work on consignment and stand behind their products with rock solid warranties and authentication. Problems?  No questions asked!


Expertise – Yes, it is an overused word, but after only a few minutes with us, you’ll know you’re dealing with true professionals backed by years of experience and satisfied clients.
